Mr Cola

B`s Review:

am a huge fan of gourmet colas because they are always very refreshing compared to name brand ones. So far my favorite cola is Spiffy Cola but I am always optomistic and I have a good feeling about Mr Cola. The color is standard for a cola but that was expected. The smell was similar to spiffy. A more high quality sweet cola smell. As we poured the aroma wafted through the air and it was delightful. When I tasted the soda it was alot like Spiffy. It was a sweet and refreshing beverage and I definetly have to rate it higher than Seal Ya Later Cola by Rocket Fizz (suggested though). Mr Cola is different than spiffy in the essence that it is more similar to coke flavor wise but it IS similar in the essence that it is a sweeter and higher quality flavor. Very good and takes the 2nd spot in my top colas list.

Jones Berry Lemonade

B`s Review:

Jones has put out consistently good sodas and this seems to be one of their most popular sodas. The color looked artificial but I maintained my faith in Jones. This is one of the many sodas sent to me by my cousins in Michigan and being a Michigian based company Jones can be easily found there. In my opinion a berry lemonade soda should be pretty tart but also have a berry flavor that is not necisarlely sweet either. This berry lemonade is a model for all others. It had a light blue color that was artificial but fitting. It also smelled like a lemonade infused with an artificial berry taste that I am not fond of. However when I tasted the soda it was all I expected and more. It was on the tart side but the berry was sweet and not too artificial. The carbonation  was legendary and made this a extremely refreshing soda. I would recomend this to a thirsty fellow on a hot day any day.

Flathead Lake Strawberry Orange

B`s Review:

I was very intrigued by this flavor combination and I was even more exited that it was a Flathead Lake. We have already tried their Granny Smith soda and that was very nice so this is gonna be interesting. The color of this pop was beautful. It had a red-orange color that looked like mango or something. Lets just say ity was a beautiful color. The smell was alot like a fruitsnack. It smelled of a mildly tart orange and a sweet strawberry and they paired nicely together. We were all exited about tastig it so we spaired no time while we poured it. The taste was interesting but amazing. Instead of the usuall cliche orange flavor that you can find easily in most sodas, this pop had a frsh squeezed orange juice kinda orane flavor. It was a naturall orange flavor that gave it a bite but not neccisarely tart. The strawberry was sweet and like the smell, paired well with the orange. I would recomend this pop to anyone.

Candy Cane by Orca Bev.

B`s Review:

I have been pretty impressed with Orca`s holiday selection and this pop is one of last two we have to try. I liked the sugar plum but NOT the sugar cookie one so this should be interesting. The bottle had Candy Cane written over an array of red and white stripes that made me a little dizzy. The bottle was retro-looking. The color of this pp was completly clear.Completly. If I didn`t know better I would have mistaken it for water. When we poured the pop it smelled alot like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Kinda a sweet mint with a touch of floride that got me very nervouse. As you know the Sugar Cookie had a nasty floride taste that ruined the soda. Any way I was plesantly surprised. The flavor was sweet and refreshing. It had a cool minty flavor that had a sugary secondary flavor. It went down smooth and is probably my favorite if the 3 we have tried. All we have to go is the Gingerbread pop and then we have succcesfully completed the 4 Orca seasonals!

Vernors Ginger Ale

B`s Review:

I don`t know why but lately we have been trying alot of ginger ales lately. I think I speak for all of RTBC when I say we have all grown to like flavors that we didn`t like before, just ask T. Any way I got this soda from some relatives in Michigan and they spoke very higly of it so I waas very exited to try this pop. I have heard this pop is HUGE in Michigan but I havn`t seen it any where local. I know it comes in bottle but this particular batch came in cans. The can was a green barrel with the word Vernors scrawled out in classic font. Pretty basic packaging right. any way when I poured this pop it was a clear golden-brown color. A pretty standard ginger ale color. The smell was strange. It was fruity and barely had any ginger scent to it. The scent made me a little nervous. Any way when we tasted this pop it was unique for a ginger ale. It was fruity but had a definet ginger flavor to it. The ginger was sweet and was pretty good for a gourmet soda. The fruity flavor complimented the ginger flavor in a unique way. It wasn`t a citrus flavor but more of an apple flavor I guess. I would prefer a stronger ginger flavor and a citrus flavor but this was nice and was very unique.

WBC Orange Cream

B`s Review:

This being the first of the WBC brand that we have tried I was exited. The color was a dark orange that looked excellent. The smell of this pop got me salavating. It was exactly like and orange cream ice cream bar but better. The orange smelled natural and prominent and a rich and creamy vanilla aroma then wafted into my nostrils making me very thirsty. At this point  was very exited. When I poured the pop, it developed a brilliant orange faom that rose half an inch above the pop. It was the most perfect light orange foam I have ever seen. When I tasted the soda I knew this brand was a keeper. The first thing that popped into my mouth was the strong, natural, and full orange flavor that resembled blood orange because of a savory tartness. Then came a sweet and creamy vanilla flavor that finished the pop beautifuly. All the time little bubbles were zipping around my mouth. The mix between the natural and unique orange flavor and the rich and creamy vanilla flavor booked this pop a spot in my top 5. I would recomand this pop to anyone.

Verdict: buy a 16 pack (if you can find one)

I eagerly wated to ry this soda because it is supposed to be very very good. The color was a white-ish orange that looked just like a dream cycle. The smell was really good a creamy orange aroma that was like the sprecher orange but not accactly. The flavor was very good it had a nice orange flavor that was very refreshing but the cream fit nicely and got rid of the acidety. Overall this was a very good soda.

Melba's Fixins Lemon Meringue Pie

Posted by [email protected] on February 7, 2015 at 9:20 AM Comments comments (0)

T's Review:

We bought three of these in a pie soda trifecta. We tried Strawberry Cream as the first one. It was beyond terrible. Then we reluctantly tried Key Lime. It was actually really good. Now I had mixed feelings about trying this one. I smelled it and it was really good at first, exactly like a lemon meringue pie. When we poured it in the cups, it smelled like chemicals. It had a nice light yellow color to it. When I tasted it, I realized it was better than the Key Lime. It was really good and tasted exactly like a lemon meringue pie. The aftertaste was sadly chemical, but it was worth it. Thank you Rocket Fizz, for another great soda!!!

Verdict: Buy a 4-pack

Rating: 7/10

B`s Review:

I have been pretty cautious when sampling the Melba`s Fixins series ever since the Strawberry Cream incedent, but the key lime pie was pretty good so my faith in them has been some what renewed. The color of this soda was a kinda cloudy yellow which seemed appropriate for such a pop. The smell was nice yet also off putting somehow. The lemon smell was a mix of lemonade and lemon cleaner, which gave it a kinda chemicaly lemon smell but there was also a a nice rich crem aroma, like wipped cream. When we poured the soda it looked very carbonated. When I first tasted the soda I was surprised. It had a nice lemon taste that was complimented by a nice cream flavor. The cream wasn`t as good as the smell but it was still pretty decent. The lemon taste was alot like the smell, lemonade and cleaner, but I am glad to say that it was heavily on the lemonade side. The carbonation was nice and worked well for this pop. I wouls say this pop was ok but it could have been much better.

 Verdict: buy a bottle

C's Review:

I have liked the previuos melbas that we tried so I had some expectations to be fufiled. The melbas straberry cream was decent, but the key lime by was beond my expectations not my favorite or even close but it was still good enough to reach and pass my expectations. The color was a tinted yellow with various highlights. It was a nice color and it definetly seems fitting to the lemon marang tital. But it was not perfect there was a very intense smell that kicked in late. It was a lemon cloroxs wipes smell that gave it the signutar chemical smell but there was a very nice cream scent that also took away the chemical scent. When we poured this soda the color was only inriched and the highlights got brighter. The soda looked carbonated and fresh but at the same time I doubted it would be very good. The taste was surprisingly very good it surtantly not top 10 but it had a taste that had a lemonade flavor with the creamy taste that was very good. Overall I think that this was definitly a good soda but I would have made some changes.

Sprecher Ginger Ale

B`s Review:

I have been looking forward to this tasting for a little while now and I have high hopes for this Sprecher Gnger Ale. As you should know Sprecher`s is a tryed ans true brand of RTBC so we were all looking forward to this review. The classic Sprecher bottle depicted an ice skating penguin which was conviently placed due to the foot of snow outside. The color was clear which is usually the case with ginger ales. The smell was faint but you could smell the ginger for sure. When we tryed this soda I have to admit I was disapointed. The ginger didn`t have the zing that I was looking for in this soda. The ginger was strong but there seemed to be no other flavor. Also the carbonation was very high and it almost seemed like a ginger tonic water. Although the ginger flavor wasn`t bad at all, it just seemed a little plain to me. The ginger left a litle tingle in the back of my throat which is a chrectaristic that I have come to expect from gourmet ginger ales. This soda wasn`t bad but I guss I had high expectations.

Verdict: buy a bottle

Rating: 7/10

C's Review:

Woo hoo sprechers! I had very very high expectations for this soda and I can not say they were met fully. The color of this soda was a normal tranclucent color but there was a little reflection from the glass and the label which by the way was really cool and oppropreit for winter because it was a a ICE SKATING PANGUIN. The smell was very normal and troditunal for a ginger a lot of ginger not really anything else besides that so the smell was plain. The taste was very plain a very troditonal ginger flavor a little bit like a club soda. I think that this just a very plain soda not alot of flavor. This soda was alot like a club soda. This soda was not bad at all but I think that compared to the other ginger ales/beers this was just not that special. Also a factor could have been that I had extremely extremely high expectations and this didnt meet those.

Taylor`s Tonics Eggnog Fizz

B`s Review:

I like eggnog as it is so I was very curious as to how an eggnong soda would taste. Also this is the first of the Taylor`s Tonics to be reviewed by RTBC so this should be interesting. The color was a translucent cream color. Like when you wash out a yogurt. It seemed to be the perfect color for an eggnog soda. The smell was exactly like eggnog. I meen exactly like it! It had a strong nutmeg aroma and then a sweet creamy smell followed. When I tasted this soda it was alot like the smell. It started off with a strong nutmeg flavor and a sweet and creamy taste followed. So far so good right. But then a strange floride/chemical taste followed and turned the soda upside down. The soda started off nice but then the chemicaly taste took over, which is strange because Taylor`s Tonics are all natural. As I read the ingredients I noticed that coconut water was listed and that might be the scource of the strange 2nd flavor. Also it seemed that the consistency was off. I bet I would have liked it alot more if the consistancy was more rich and creamy like eggnog. This soda was very accurate for the most part so it gets points there. I would recomend this soda if you are up for an adventure.

Verdict: Buy a bottle

Rating: 4/10

C's Review:

After seeing this soda I thought it was gonna be like a cream soda. This soda had a color that was tranclucent but had a little white mixed in, a little bit like when you wash out a glass of milk. The smell was litraly exactly like eggnog but there was a little bit of chemical. The smell also had a nutmeg and cinnomen aroma that came after the eggnog. The taste was not so good it had a eggnog flavor but it also had a stong almost spoiled atertaste not to mention the chemical taste. Being the first taylors tonnics soda weve tried I was dissopointed.

Reeds Original Ginger Brew

B`s Review:

I have been very impressed with Reed`s products in the past so I was very exited to try this pop. When I looked at the website it said that it was made with pineapple, lemon, lime, honey an spices along with the usual ingredients (carbonated water, cane sugar etc.). I was curious about why they used the pineapple but I soon found out. Another thing that caught my eye on this traditional 12oz bottle was the "Jamaican Style" heading above the flavor. When I looked at the website I saw that it is made with Jamaican recipe, fancy. Any way the smell of this pop was very fresh and strong. It smelled as natural a can be. I am not exagerating when I say that it took me to a tropical Jamaican island, after all we were trying it outside in the middle of a snowstorm for some reason. You could actually smell the pineapple thinking back on it. When we poured the pop it was clear and you could see the carbonation in the stream flowing down into the cup. Thetaste of this soda was alot like the smell...natural. You could tell that the ginger was natural because the taste was so high quality. It wasn`t spicy but left a little heat in the back of your throat. Also there was a strong un-deniable lime flavor that complimented the ginger well. Although the lime was nice I wouldn`t mind a little less of it. The pineapple was noticable and was probably for the better. I am gonna bet that they used the pineapple to cut the spice a little. Good pop for all to enjoy.

I really liked the reeds apple brew so I was really exited to try this soda. This soda had a clear translucent green color that was a little like the apple but besides the green. The smell was really good it was a stong ginger but a fruity zing to it. The taste was amazing the gigner flavor was nice very strong but there was an unnatural fruit cup like flavor that didnt feel intended. Overal this was a great soda and I was very imppressed with reeds and this soda and good job.

Snooki Wild Cherry From Rocket Fizz

Posted by [email protected] on February 1, 2015 at 2:15 PM Comments comments (0)

B`s Review:

Rocket Fizz`s sodas have been unprodictable in the past so I wasn`t sure what to expect. Wild cherry is in a totally different than Black Cherry so my expectations are very different when I review wild cherries. A good wild cherry in my opinion is a sweet but flavorful chery flavor with perfect carbonation. Also I kept in mind that this is more of a gag soda so I some what lowered my expectations. The color of this soda was artificial but perfect for a wild cherry. It was a light red that was the exact color of a maraschino cherry. The smell was a sweet cherry flavor with a hint of that notorious Rocket Fizz chemical smell to it. I was alarmed because the last couple Rocket Fizz pops didn`t have that chemical taste and I thought I was in the safe zone. Anyway it smelled a little sweet for my likeing but it had a very nice cherry smell that made up for the sweetness. The taste of this pop was altogether pretty good. Carbonation was perfect and it helped bring out the cherry from the sweetness. The cherry was alot like a Maraschino cherry but that was expected so no damage done. It was sweet but not too sweet and I am proud to say that there was no chemical flavor at all what so ever. It was a little artificial though which lowered my rank a bit. I would recomend this pop to anyone that is not bothered by sweetness or Jersey Shore.

Verdict: buy a 4 pack

C's Review

I didnt know what to expect with this soda because in the the past rocket fizz has had a mix of good and bad. I started of by seeing a bright pinkish red color that reminded me alot of foxon park but there was a darker base. The smell was also alot like foxon park but it was a bit sweeter and I am sensitive when it comess to sweetness so that got me uneasy. The taste was sooo close to foxon park it was like the flavors were mimicing each other I really liked foxon park so this was good in my book but the only thing that I would quoistion the sweetness of the thing because it was really really sweet.

Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer

B`s Review:

I was extremely exited to try this pop because the flavor sounded so creamy and butter-scotchy. I mean seriously, who could resist "butterscotch cream soda". Any way many soda reviewers have tried this soda but I have never taken the time to read any of their reviews. The color was a nice pale, and gold color that was very fitting for the flavor. The smell was honestly off putting because of its overwhelming sweetness. It was definetly butterscotch but a very very sweet butterscotch. I am sensative about sweetness so I was pretty cautious before the review. When I tasted this pop it had a sweet flavor that I think was a little to heavy. Also the butterscotch had a chemicaly taste to it that I didn`t enjoy all too much. There was a decent creaminess to it and that was a very nice addition to the soda. The carbonation was a little low but since the flavor wasn`t prodominently cream soda i don`t think the Carbo Principle applies to this pop. I don`t know if it was the way this soda was made (highly doubtful because it is made by Reeds but Ill keep an open mind) or if it was just the flavor carbonation but this wasn`t all that great of a soda.

Verdict: buy a bottle

Rating: 4/10

C's Review:

Nice butterscotch is my favorite thing ever so I went into this soda thinking it was going to be like dang butterscotch rootbeer. This sodas color was clear and had a little gold in there too. The smell was super super sweet to the point were it was bad and I am not big fan of sweet things: there was a chemical scent in there too. the flavor was so sweet i spit it out the first sip but then I took another sip I swallowed it and found out it had a descent cream flavor but no butterscotch at all! If there was some butterscotch in this soda and it was less sweet and chemicaly it would have been great.

Jackson Hole Soda Company Root Beer

B`s Review:

I will start off by saying that the Virgils Bavarian Nutmeg was unique and outstanding. I expected it to meet its match eventually, but not this soon! The Virgils was unique and one of the most interesting flavor profiles I have ever encountered. With ingredients from over 8 different countries it was also one of the most expensive. Anyway this is about JHS`s root beer so where do I start. I went into this pop like I do with any other review, cautious but curious. The JHS Grape was good but nothing special so I wasn`t sure what to think. When I smelled this pop it was a nice sweet root beer smell. Pretty standard at this point. The color was a dark brown and I could see the bubbles. The pop got a nice head when poured which is always a good sign. The first thing I noticed was a little burst of carbonation when it entered my mouth. Soon the fizz disapated and a unique, well made, root beer flavor entered my mouth. I remember that the Virgils had strong notes of licorice, sweet birch, and wintergreen. The JHS Root Beer wasn`t all to different in that sense. It had spectacular notes of licorice and wintergreen that were only slightly more noticable than normal, but the sweet birch was stronger and really made this soda unique. The sweet birch kinda pulled this whole pop together. It blended the traditional root beer flavor with a more exotic flavor if you will. The sweet birch made this soda sweet but not too sweet and still maintained a traditional root beer feel to it. The carbonation level was a little low for other flavors of soda but with root beer and cream sodas it is acceptiable because it allows more flavor to reach your taste buds without the carbonation masking it. I think that I will make a rule for that called "The Carbo Principle" . This soda was also silky smooth and I woud recomend it to anyone.

Verdict: Buy a 16 pack

Rating: 8.75/10

C's Review:

I was very exited for this soda after trying the grape from the same brand and that was really good. I was looking at this soda to see only a rootbeer because the color was simply just normal. The smell was a creamy with a hint of licorice in the mix, the smell was a little more than normal. The taste was like the smell a creamy rootbeer with a little licorice in there to give it a really good rootbeer. I think that JHS did a really really good job on this and that I wil drink this again for sure.

Death Valley Black Cherry

B`s Review:

In the wake of the recent Black Cherry Blind Tasting I wasn`t really in the mood to try another Black Cherry but here we go. The color was a standard red color, nothing unusual. The smell of this soda was sweet yet faint. As most of you know I very sensative with sweetness. It can`t be too sweet or I will not be a fan of the pop. The sweet smell worried me but I carried on. The Carbonation was way to low and made this pop more of a juice. Honestly there was barely any at all. The flavor was actually decent, but too sweet to be a black cherry. The sweetness was actually syrupy sweet but surprisingly that didn`t impact the flavor too bad. If Death Valley renamed this soda maraschino cherry soda this would probably be rated higher but part of my rating scale is accuracy so that isn`t going to help.

Verdict: Buy a bottle

I didnt want to try this soda becaue of the recent taste test but I did. This sodas color was common regular rednothing special. The smell was to sweet and a little chemicaly which I personaly didnt like. The taste was good like the smell very wery sweet and I dnt like very sweet things also there was a chemica; taste that was a little unapitising but the cherry flavor was pretty good not my favorite. Cock`n Bull Cherry Ginger Beer

B`s Review:

I was a pretty big fan of the original Cock`n Bull Ginger Beer (See Review) so this tasting was a priority to me. We recently tried the Rocket Fizz Shirley Temple (See Review) so I was ready to see how this would compare. The color of this soda was a light, almost clear red that fit this pop prefectly. The smell started off with a beautiful, sweet cherry  that actually resemleb a black cherry. Then came the strong delectable ginger scent that only Cock`n Bull can supply. When I finally tasted the soda the cherry was sweet and savory and like the smell leened tword a black cherry flavor. Next came the sharp ginger flavor that complimented the cherry beautifuly. The ginger leaves a spicy flavor in the back of your throat that good ginger beers have to have. The flavors went well together and were perfectly balanced which is hard to do. The whole soda was well-made and both flavors were high quality. If any of you out there see this pop in stores I recomend you buy it on sight.

I really liked the original "Cock'n Bull" so I was hoping that we could have an even better soda this time, my dream came true. This soda had a clear color that was like the first one. The smell was identical like the original but as in the name it had a semi-sweet cherry scent that was really nice. The taste was great! It had a smooth ginger kick to it but the cherry gave it a uniqe sweet touch that topped it all of really nicely. I wish I could say more but what I said is all thats needed. great job "Cock'n Bull" keep it up.

Rocket Fizz Wintergreen

B`s Review:

As you know the other members of RTBC and I are fond of the Rocket Fizz line. We have tried many from this line and have been pleased so I was expecting good things. The flavor wintergreen on first glance might seem strange in a soda and it is, but it is one of the main flavors in any Birch Beer so if you like Birch Beer than this shouldn`t be to weird to you. The color of this soda was a dark green that looked very artificial. When we poured the soda the dark green looked lighter in the cup which is weird because i have never seen that before in a soda. Maybe when its exposed to oxygen? Any way the smell was a light, minty, cool, scent that was identical to the smell of an Altoid. When we tasted the soda it had some major similarities to the smell. The flavor wasn`t too strong, like the smell. It was alot like an Altoid, like the smell. However there was a chmicaly taste that wasn`t too strong but noticable. I wasn`t fond of the chemical taste and I have not tasted that flavor in this particular line of Rocket Fizz sodas. The carbonation was nice and helped the soda in a very nice way. I would have to say I would prefer a Birch Beer greatly to this soda but I have to give them points for the unique flavor. The flavor was accurate and this was not a bad soda but I would probably prefer a more traditional flavor of soda, like I have said in other Rocket Fizz reviews.

Verdict: Buy a 4 pack

C's Review

When I saw this soda I didnt know what to expect, it had a extremely dark green color that made me uneasy. It was a upredictabal soda because the color but  I wondered if it would be like a birch beer. I know that birch beer has a minty flavor and that the "Virgils Buvahrion Nutmeg" soda so that gave me a thought. The smell  was strong but resembled wintergreen alot so that was good. The flavor was as I suspected a little bit like birch beer but without the rootbeer. After trying this soda I was very impressed in rocket fizz and felt that we should try more of there sodas.

R's Review:

I like mint a lot. As you can see I have the birch beer in my top five. Rocket Fizz sodas are either good or bad. This had a dark green color which was different kind of. It had a nice minty smell that was actually pretty strong. The taste was a kind of minty taste that wasn't as strong as the smell. Normally I expect wintergreen to have a strong flavor but this soda didn't really. It did resemble it's title but I was expecting it to be something different. I don't know what it was lacking but I knew there was something. Overall I thought this soda was not bad with a good minty flavor but there was deffinitely something lacking from it.

Jarritos Guava

B`s Review:

I am going to bet that all of you out there have heard of Jarritos. A spanish soda line that can be found at Jewel, Meier or pretty much any other grocery store in town. However some of the more unique flavors (Tamarind, Guava etc.) are found at spanish grocery stores or specialty stores. This soda was purchased at a local Grocery store and I was exited to try it. It is hard to believe that we have not yet tried anything from this popular brand. The color of this pop was a solid pink that looked a lot like I would picture a Guava to look like. It looked refreshing and natural. I dont have much expirience with Guava but I know what it tasts like but it is difficult to describe. The smell of this pop was like how a guava should smell like. Fruity and sweet but with an edge. As I smelled this one key thing came to mind. The smell was A LOT like a topping that is sold at many FroYo places that I have been to. Unfortunetly I had no clu what they were called so I decided to look it up. I found out that they are called "Bobas". They are small round balls that pop when chewed and have a color that corisponds to the flavor. They are fruity, tangy and sweet and so was the smell. When I tasted this pop it was very similar to them with just a little more tartness to it. The carbonation was perfect in this soda and that helped it keep the flavor from becoming too strong. This is a unique soda that I would recomend to anyone who wants a little adventure.

Verdict: Buy a 6 pack

C's Review

I have had some joritos before and they were very good so Iwas exited to try this one. I dont actully know that much about guavas but I know that they are tropical. The color was a nice light pink but I dont know if its the color of guava or not. The smell was fresh a little bit like a pink lemonade but with a tropical touch. The smell was like the little berry things that you get on a froyo but I dont know what its called. The taste was great it was a very tropical flavor with a hint of berry, it was very good. I again dont know if this is what a guava is supposed to taste like but is seems pretty close. Overall this was a good soda and it reminded me of what I think guava is like.

Seal Ya Later (Osama Bin Laden Dictator Series)

B`s Review:

We have tried a dictator soda from Rocket Fizz before (Atomic Orange Kim Jong Un) and we were not pleased. But I like colas and I consider myself open minded so when I grabbed this soda I tried to remain optomistic. The color of this soda was that of an average cola. And since the last soda from this line wasn`t all that quality I expected this to taste like Coke or Pepsi. Note this soda IS sweetned with cane sugar so it shouldn`t stick to my teeth. When we poured the pop I smelled a pretty standard cola scent.I liked the scent and it smelled pretty decent quality wise but not all that dofferent from Coke or Pepsi. It had the unique spicy scent that only a cola can give to you. When I tasted this pop I was pleased. It had a nice cola flavor that was similar to Coke and it unfortunetly stuck to my teeth after I swallowed (also like Coke). Anyway there was a uniqueness to this cola that I can`t fully identify. I know that it regards the flavor being a little heavy on a certain spice or ingredient though. Also there was that chemicaly tatse that the Atomic Orange and many other Rocket Fizz sodas seem to share, although I have to say that it went better with the cola than the orange. I think the unmistacable cola flavor masked it a little and that was a pleasant surprise. Not too much to say about this soda but its not bad so give it a try.

Verdict: buy a 4 pack

C's Review:

After trying the "Kim Jun Un" orange soda I was a little uneasy about this soda because there was a strange chemical taste in the orange soda. This was also a dictator soda and I kind of imagened this being a name brand cola because you cant really make a terrible cola but you can make a not so good cola. The color of this soda was a normal name brand cola color which is a kind of just a dark brown color so that discouraged me a little bit. The smell was a little like a cherry coke but minus a little of the cherry so I guss thats kinda good. The taste was good it reminded me exactly of a name brand cola it but it had cane sugar and not corn syrup so it didnt stick to your teeth so that was pretty cool because it wasnt bad and I would actuly recommend it to somebody. However it had a small small chemical aftertaste but this soda was good.

T's Review:

We've had our good and bad shares of Rocket Fizz sodas. In the beginning, we were so excited to try the three of them because of their hilarious names and supposedly good flavors. The Kim Jong Un one was orange flavored and it was beyond terrible. This was the seond of four, and to be honest, I wan't excited, but that's only because of the Kim Jong Un soda. It was a darkish brown color that looked like a name brand cola, like Dr. Pepper. It smelled the same way. I actually hate name brand cola, but for some reason, I love gourmet cola. Then I tasted it and it was pretty good. It tasted like coke, but with an extra kick of fizz and cane sugary goodness. The aftertaste was a bit on the chemical sida, but it was still pretty good. I think I'm getting to like colas a little more.

Verdict: Buy a 4-pack

R's Review:

I was not overall excited about this soda. I have tried the dictator sodas before and I did not like them. The KIm Jong Un soda was terrible. The smell was a Dr. Peppery smell with a dark brown to it. My first taste was a soda that kind of tasted like coke. I am a fan of colas that have a fruity flavor to it like Dr. Pepper. This was lacking that flavor. It had a great carbonation. It had a nice sugary taste but the aftertaste kind of killed it. Like other dictator sodas, it had the little chemical aftertaste. Overall, I thought this soda was better than the other dictator sodas but still not the best.

Verdict: Buy a 4 pack

Rocket Fizz Shirley Temple

B`s Review:

Shirley Temple, Kiddie Cocktail, whatever you want to call it, it is ginger and cherry. The common way to make this is to mix ginger ale and cherry juice but not at Rocket Fizz. In this case it is a soda. As you know I am pleased with the Rocket Fizz line of sodas and I`m enjoyed the 2 we have sampled so far. When I smelled this soda I could only really smell a sweet cherry scent. Also I could smell a little carbonation but nothing else. When I first saw this soda it had a pink color that made me think of cherry. I tasted this soda under th impression that this would be a cherry based soda and I was right. It had a sweet cherry flavor that was a little on the sweet side but not like cough syrup. The ginger flavor was there but not enough of it. However the flavor that the ginger presented was very nice. The soda was refreshing but the balance was very off . The soda did taste good though despite its many flaws. I would have to say that this is another Rocket Fizz succes. Not much to say about this soda but I would prefer this over the cinnimon (see review) that Rocket Fizz released but that wasn`t bad either.

Verdict: Buy a 6 pack

C's Review

This drink is a drink that has been so popular that EVERYONE knows what it is and thats why when I saw the soda I didnt know what to expect. The color was good like a whiteish red color that reminded me of a shirley temple and there looked to be carbonation in it because it bubbled a little. There was a surprisingly sweet smell that was a decent cherry a little bit like foxon park cherry but a bit sweeter and there was the fiant faint smell of ginger but you couldnt really notice that. The taste was a good but a little on the sweet side cherry that ended up turning to just a carbonation aftertaste that in my oppinion was not horible. This soda was very good and it did remind me of a shirley temple but in my oppinion a little on the sweet side. Overall im a pleased so good job Rocket Fizz!

T's Review:

I love regular Shirley Temples, but they have name brand sodas, like Sprite, and they use fake cherry syrup. That's why I was really excited to try this soda. It was a nice shade of red and looked really cool. It smelled very sweet like the Foxon Park cherry, kinda like a Maraschino cherry. I tried it and it tasted EXACTLY like a Shirley Temple. I honestly didn't see any difference and I'd have it again. I love Rocket Fizz, and this adds another to the list. BTW check my top 5!

Verdict: Buy a 5-pack

R's Review:

I really like Shirley Temples and I was excited to try this. Rocket Fizz sodas aren't always my favorite but I thought this would be different. It had an unusual bright pink color to it and I'm used to having a reddish color. It had a nice sweet smell and I thought it would also be sweet. But when I tried it I thought it was a bit bland. It was good but bland. It had the aftertaste of a bland soda which I am not a fan of. It had an awesome carbonation though. I felt Rocket Fizz did pretty good with this soda but it was also more on the flavor of a pink lemonade. I thought it was pretty good overall but I would rather go for some other Shirley Temple.

Bedford's Ginger Ale

B`s Review:

As I looked down at the green tinted bottle with an old-fashion label attached to the front I had one thought and one thought only... this better be a ginger ALE. As you should know ginger ales are smoother while ginger beers are strong and spicy. We recently tried Americana Honey Lime Ginger ALE (see review) and it was very spicy, so they kinda ruined my sense of security when it comes to labeling (the soda was great though). Then I recall that Bedford`s also has a ginger beer so my worries were over nothing. I could review the soda with ease now. The soda was clear and bubbled up when poured and looked identical to a name brand ginger beverage. The smell was also simlar to a name brand soda but much fresher. When we tasted the soda I looked at R and he was smiling with glee and so was I. This is probably one of the best ginger sodas I have ever had. Although I might be a little bias because I prefer ales more than beers you all should see my other reviews and see that I enjoy beers as well. This soda had a PERFECT carbonation and was pretty smooth going down. The flavor was nice and natural so that gave it some points. The ginger flavor was calm and colected and by no means spicy yet it still maintained a high quality ginger flavor like that of a ginger beer. There was also a citrus note that maintained a nice balance with the ginger flavor. Maybe a lemon lime, but definetly lime. As the citrus flavor wasn`t as bold as the ginger it was still pretty balanced. I would recomend this to anyone that likes ginger.

Verdict: buy a 12 pack

C's Review:

Well the last ginger ale we tried was a ginger beer so I didnt know if this would be a ginger "ALE" or a "BEER". The color of this soda was clear like a normal ginger soda so at that time I thought this was a average soda but little did I know this soda would be more than that. The smell was great, it had a good ginger ale flavor with a hint of limon added in there for an extra touch. The flavor was a great flavor that was like the smell including the lime flavor that added a GREAT flavor and a outstanding finish to the great ginger ALE soda. This was definetly a ginger ale but not a ginger beer. This soda beat my expectations by ALOT and I mean alot! Great job bedfords.

T's Review:

I liked the old-fashioned logo on the front and the green tinted bottle, but I didn't know what to think; I don't like ginger ale. It was a pretty good smell with a little hint of lime in there. That surprised me pleasantly, but the taste was still to come. I don't like ginger ale in the first place, so nervous as always. I tried it and it was pretty good. This was probably one of the first actual ginger ales that didn't taste like ginger beer. Probably my favorite ginger ale so far. Good job, Bedford's!

Verdict: Buy a 6-pack
